Our product has been used on a variety of surfaces - everything from football fields to landscaping in a small yard. One of the advantages of using Legacy True Turf is its capability of being used in all climates. The heat of the Southwest is not a problem. It has a limited warranty of 8 years from wear and sun fading; and a life expectancy of 15 to 20 years. The turf is installed over decomposed granite that is compacted and shaped to create a natural look.

Other advantages are that there is no fertilizing, no mowing, and what's important to everyone is not having to water. It also is acceptable for xeriscape tax credits in some of the communities. According to the Scottsdale water department, half of the water used by homeowners is used for landscape.

Maintenance on Legacy True Turf grass is simple. A leaf blower removes any debris blown into the yard. After a dust storm or busy pets, a hose can be used to remove any sticky residue or dust.

When looking at any product on the market there are 3 steps in the installation that will insure the best turf. First check the backing. It should not be so heavy that it does not allow water to drain through the material and not just over the top. Legacy true Turf is the best in the industry. It has been tested at a rate of approximately 75 gallons per hour. Second, be sure that a base is the correct granite and third it needs to be in-filled with "washed" silica sand and cryogenic rubber. A "dirty" sand could cut the blades after a few years.
